New Intiatives of Haldwani Foerst Division- Registration of Nature Guides and Safari Vehicles in Eco Tourism Zones to Provide Employment Opportunities to Local Youths

Haldwani Forest Division, Haldwani is continuously working towards welfare of local people. 40 local youths have been imparted training as nature guides and have been registered in Haldwani Forest Division. These Nature Guides will get regular employment in Safari vehicles to guide the tourists visiting Eco Tourism Zones of Haldwani Forest Division. 15 Safari vehicles are also registered with the Division. These Safari vehicles will provide employment opportunities and enhance livelihood of the engaged drivers and vehicle owners.Tourists now will get detailed information about Bio-Diversity, Flora, Fauna and Bird Species of the Haldwani Forest Division. This initiative will boost Eco Tourism of the State and provide employment of the youths dependent on these forests. Booking of Bird Watching Trail, Safari , Butterfly Park can be done online by the visitors. This initiative is being considered a very good step towards development of Tourism, Environment Conservation and Local Development.
